About Centra Mental Health Services
Centra offers a comprehensive line-up of services to support the emotional and mental well-being of the individuals and families we serve. Programs include mental health services for adults, including a specialized program for seniors, adolescents and children, as well as chemical dependency and substance abuse (alcohol and drugs) treatment for adults.
Centra Mental Health Intake and Resource Center not only handles referrals to the inpatient psychiatric programs at Centra Virginia Baptist Hospital, but also provides information to callers about mental health resources in our community and beyond. Centra Intake Specialists can be reached anytime to answer your mental health-related questions or refer you to the appropriate provider or resource.
- Centra Mental Health Intake and Resource Center, a 24-hour service for confidential referrals to and information about any of our mental health programs.
- Centra Bridges Treatment Center, a residential program for children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional problems.
- Centra Bridges at Brightwell, a group home for male graduates of Centra Bridges Treatment Center, in Amherst County, Virginia.
- Centra Rivermont Schools, special education and day treatment services throughout Virginia in 8 locations.
- Centra Autism Program at four Centra Rivermont School locations (Danville, Lexington, Roanoke and Virginia Beach).
- Centra Community-Based Programs, including Centra Intensive In-home Services and Centra Therapeutic Day Treatment, for children and adolescents.
- Inpatient acute psychiatric programs for children, adolescents, adults and seniors for overcoming problems like depression, anxiety and suicidal ideations.
- Centra Piedmont Psychiatric Center, outpatient psychiatry, therapy, counseling and psychological assessments.
- Centra Pathways Treatment Center, outpatient recovery treatment for adults with alcohol and other chemical addictions.
- Centra Mental Health Consultation Services, consultations and assessments at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital's emergency department (for emergent situations).
