Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
TMS is a non-medication, FDA approved procedure that utilizes magnetic pulses to stimulate the nerve cells in the brain. The treatment consists of a series of outpatient sessions that do not require anesthesia. The procedure has minimal or no side effects, and patients can return to normal activity immediately after each session.
According to one TMS patient who had suffered from depression for years, "Worthlessness, hopelessness" was the norm. Today, she has her life back.
